Miracles Never Cease
GOOD NEWS!!! I saw Mary the Hair Lady today (that's what Maria and I call her now, and since we both go to her for haircuts, we can call her "lady" even though she's only 22, and think it's humorous) and with my visit, got my hair dyed and cut!!!! No more split ends! No more unemployed nappy hair! I can now afford regular hair upkeep! It's a Thanksgiving miracle! Well, okay. It's a Post-Thanksgiving miracle! Among other news, I procrastinated in calling the Republican PR firm guy back today after he called me last week one night at 8:30 p.m. on my cell phone begging for forgiveness for taking 3 weeks to return my phone message. Little did he know that I was only calling to decline the offer for the job, but whatever. He was an ass. I have it all prepared to tell him that I have a job offer at UCD pending for $1,000 more a month than his offer to me...and I thought it was a really good idea until the thought occurred to me that he could offer me a job for more than that and then what would I do??!! Yikes! I guess take the job, because I'd be making mad cash, but I'd be working for I-Think-I'm-Cool-Because-I-Went-To-U-Penn guy. Oh well. I had an interview with another PR firm today. It would only be a contract position, for only a few months, but I was thinking that it might actually be a good move for me, since I'm leaving for Real World in only a few months anyway. :) Well, at least that's my plan. Hopefully the casting director at the open call on Saturday in Berkeley has the same life plan for me. It is going to be a fun, fun day. Las Vegas here I come!!!
